Trick or Eat presented by RAC Tor, TDV, & YorkU

posted Oct 20, 2009 12:31 PM by ROTARACT 7070

It's almost Halloween!!! That means.... TRICK OR EAT TIME!!!

WHO: The Rotaract Club of Toronto – with the help of the Rotaract Club of Don Valley , the Rotaract Club of York University , and maybe even some Rotarians with kids!

WHAT: We will go door to door collecting food items for the Daily Bread Food Bank!

WHEN: Halloween Night! 6:30 to 8:30 pm… (Give 15 min pre and post for getting ready and sorting).

WHERE: High Park region… Let`s meet at Keele Subway Station and go from there… ( Shannon is so awesome that he is organizing our HQ for the night… Details to follow).

WHY: BECAUSE WE CAN HAVE FUN AND ACTUALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE!  … On a serious note – There are so many people in the GTA, who are not fortunate enough to have even 1 proper meal a day, let alone 3… So let`s try to help make that better! … Well… That and seeing Rotaract girls in naughty outfits… Should be reason enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Oh oh… and last year – PPL ACTUALLY GAVE ME CANDY TOO! .. *sigh* … Good times!

You Need:

1)      A fun costume… So that all the little kids on the street can make fun of you, hehe… *evil laugh*

2)      Sturdy bags or rollies to put your collection of goods in… Cans get heavy REALLY FAST!

Sooo… Please let me know if you are coming… Reply back with your full name, email, and phone number, so that we can contact each other =) … ALSO – We need around 2 -3 ppl with cars… So that they can drive around and collect our food items… (one of these cars will be nice enough to volunteer to drop off our final donations at a Daily Bread Food Bank location at the end of the event… Pretty please!)

Also – This Sunday (October 25th) a few of us will meet at Keele Subway Station to hand out flyers about this even to targeted streets in the High Park area… So that they can be prepared to see our lovely faces on Halloween night… If you can donate a couple hours of your time… 4 – 6 pm… Please let me know!

And lastly – As you have probably noticed… All of these meetings times end pretty early… SO THAT WE CAN HAVE OUR OWN HALLOWEEN FUN… *cough* *cough* all night long!!!!!!!!!!!

xoxo
